By: Inside Pool Magazine Staff
The road to the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Three‑Cushion World Cup has begun with the opening qualification rounds attracting a large domestic field of players in Vietnam. The preliminary stage has drawn nearly 250 competitors from across the country, highlighting the strong grassroots support for the discipline.
The event marks the third consecutive year that Ho Chi Minh City will host a UMB World Cup tournament, further strengthening Vietnam’s status as a central hub for international carom competition.
Qualifying events will take place in two stages during March and early April, producing 16 Vietnamese players who will join the international field when the main draw begins later in the year.
The tournament is expected to feature many of the world’s top three‑cushion professionals and remains one of the most prestigious stops on the global carom calendar.
